New detective game for PC, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a dark and atmospheric mystery game. With themes of supernatural and the occult. This game plays as a first person, story-driven adventure game.
And you play detective PI Paul Prospero. Who has some unusual abilities, which come in handy in helping him solve the mystery of the disappearance of Ethan Carter.
Beautiful visuals, a simple story and interesting use of the supernatural to investigate the case. This is looking like it could one of the best detective PC games out this year.
New mystery hidden object game out last Wednesday, is 9 Clues 2: The Ward. The sequel to 9 Clues: The Secret of Serpent Creek, from game developers Artifex Mundi. In this creepy hidden object puzzle game, set in the 1950’s help the young detective PI and her partner discover who the murderer is, in a secluded psychiatric hospital. With not too helpful patients or staff, you’ll have your work cut out for you.
But if, you are up to the challenge this is a really good – if slightly unsettling – murder mystery game to solve! With plenty of unique hidden object scenes and mini games to play.
Rounding off our top 10 of the best detective games to play online without downloading is Rizzoli & Isles at number 10. There are 2 free web browser games based on the popular US TV series. Which in turn had been originally based on the Rizzoli & Isles books by Tess Gerritsen.
The main characters in these CSI style detective games are the eponymous duo – Jane Rizzoli (the police detective) and Dr. Maura Isles (the medical examiner).

All of whom seem to have a connection with the fated legendary star of the silverscreen! However, in Dead Reckoning: Silvermoon Isle, the gameplay is brought right up to date. With it’s use of an interactive deduction feature. This makes the crime solving elements of this game a unique experience to play!
