With the last episode of itv’s Poirot series being shown last Wednesday, we’ve been thinking about our favourite fictional sleuth Poirot and the games we’ve played based on the novels of queen of crime Agatha Christie. Not only do these games make the most of the great original plots. But they also add a whole new level of enjoyment and interactive element to these classic detective stories.
Top Poirot Detective Games for PC
One of my favourite Agatha Christie stories is Dead Man’s Folly. (The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is another recommended read!)
Dead Man’s Folly Poirot PC Game
Plot: Poirot is invited to a beautiful country house to help his friend Ariadne Oliver set-up a ‘murder-hunt’ for the annual fete. However whilst the visitors are playing the game and following the clues to find the ‘killer’, a real murder is committed!
You have to help Poirot find the hidden clues, unravel puzzles and crack the case.
The Dead Man’s Folly PC game includes 48 levels in 15 beautifully detailed HO scenes. You also earn rewards for solving the Murder Hunt.
Peril at End House Poirot PC Game
Plot: Hercule Poirot and Captain Hastings whilst on holiday on the scenic Cornish coast, meet a damsel in distress! Owner of End House, Nick Buckley needs their help, someone is trying to kill her, and there have been 3 attempts already. It’s up to Poirot to solve the mystery before it’s too late!
The Peril at End House PC game includes 12 cases, 13 characters and 25 detailed rooms to investigate.
Death on the Nile Poirot PC Game
One of my favourite Poirot films is the Peter Ustinov version of Death on the Nile is it so atmospheric. And this game evokes that same atmosphere too.
Plot: On board the SS Karnak on a cruise down the Nile, a murder has taken place. Luckily Hercule Poirot is also on board and is charged with investigating this challenging murder mystery.
The Death on the Nile game has 12 levels, 24 hidden object rooms and 15 characters to interrogate. Plus many mini-games.
