Game Play
- In Mysterium, one player tries to lead the investigators to their culprit.
- Each night the team will be met with visions, but what is the ghost trying to tell you?
- Can the psychics determine the weapon, location, and identity of the murderer? Or will a violent criminal pull off the perfect murder?
- They will have to decipher the images to help the ghost remember how he was murdered. Who? Where? What weapon?
- The more players cooperate, the easier it will be to the catch the right culprit!
- Each player must investigate a case assigned to them, determining if the clues lead to the actual murderer.
- While playing the ghost or a medium, you’ll have fun trying to guess what other players have on their minds.
Mysterium Review
Once you’ve set aside a decent amount of time to familiarise everyone with the rules and how to play Mysterium, the game play itself is both straight-forward and unique. Just like in the original detective deduction board game Cluedo, you must solve the murder mystery by deducing who done it, with what and where. However unlike Clue, all the players including the ghost are working cooperatively to find the solution to the mystery. Channeling the ghost, you and your fellow psychics are tasked with interpreting the ghost’s visions to work out the answers. This is a very atmospheric and visual game. So it is a great board game to play with kids, (aged 10 and up). Each case or round takes about 45 minutes, is fun, challenging and very replayable. Mysterium is a top mystery board game, and a great way for all the family to work together to solve the mystery!
