About Sugar: a contemporary, unique take on one of the most popular and significant genres in literary, motion picture and television history: the private detective story. Academy Award nominee Colin Farrell stars as John Sugar, an American private investigator on the heels of the mysterious disappearance of Olivia Siegel, the beloved granddaughter of legendary Hollywood producer Jonathan Siegel. As Sugar tries to determine what happened to Olivia, he will also unearth Siegel family secrets; some very recent, others long-buried.

- Olivia: After solving a case in Japan, private eye John Sugar returns to Los Angeles to help find a missing woman with ties to a Hollywood legend.
- These People, These Places: Sugar senses a lingering feeling that Melanie might not be revealing the full story; apart from Sugar and Ruby, a third person seems interested in the mysterious body found in Olivia’s trunk.
- Shibuya Crossing: Melanie and Sugar get caught in a dicey situation—and make a new enemy. Sugar reunites with old friends, but he senses some are keeping secrets.
- Starry-Eyed: Sugar and Melanie track down Olivia’s friend, who shares disturbing information about Davy and his family. Davy and Kenny dig into Sugar’s past.
