Description: When Bobby Jones and Lady Frances “Frankie” Derwent play a round of golf, Bobby slices his ball over the edge of a cliff. His ball is lost, but on the rocks below he finds the crumpled body of a dying man. With his final breath the man opens his eyes and gasps, ‘Why didn’t they ask Evans?’ Armed only with the image of a beautiful young woman found in the dead man’s pocket, the amateur sleuths must solve the case.

Why Didn’t They Ask Evans? (2022 TV series)
Based on Agatha Christie’s 1934 novel, Why Didn’t They Ask Evans? is a story of deceit, betrayal and murder that lures our young amateur detectives from the rugged coastline of north Wales to the shadowy Home Counties.
In Hugh Laurie’s clever adaptation of Agatha Christie’s beloved novel, the mysterious death of a stranger prompts amateur detectives Bobby Jones and Frankie Derwent to set out to find the meaning behind the dead man’s final words: “Why didn’t they ask Evans?”
